GAMEPLAYChapter 4 in DRTD
Chapter 4 is the hardest chapter available at DRTD's launch. Enemy health totals scale dramatically. TITAN itself reaches 15 million HP on Boss Match difficulty, requiring fully upgraded elite units and precise targeting.
Air-type enemies appear for the first time in Chapter 4. Winglade and Wicabel bypass all ground-only units entirely. Players who have not invested in anti-air coverage will find the later matches nearly impossible.
Carol Holiday is a unique enemy: her Shield LVL1 and Anti-Magic make her resistant to common elemental loadouts. She appears in every match from 1 through 10 at increasing frequency. Planning around her early is essential.
Jackenstein and Hammer Of Justice are Chapter 4's elite boss hazards, each with armor, shields, and either Anti-Stun or Anti-Magic. They appear as mid-match obstacles before the chapter's final encounter.
Chapter 4 also introduces Gerson Boom as a regular mini-boss, a massive armored unit with a LVL2 shield that requires coordinated burst damage to defeat before it reaches the exit.
MAPSThe Upper DarkOpen-sky map with no ground. Units must be placed on floating platforms. Enemies descend from above, so traditional defensive lines don't apply here.
Titan's PerimeterThe outer ring of TITAN's domain. Air and ground enemies appear simultaneously. Four distinct approach lanes that merge at the center.
The Roaring Knight's PassA narrow choke with high walls. The Roaring Knight patrols the center tile and buffs enemies it passes through. Units placed in its path take contact damage.
Core ApproachThe final path to TITAN. No lane branching. Pure damage check: sustained output must exceed incoming enemy HP at a constant rate. TITAN emerges from the core on Boss Match.
ENEMIESstandardTitan SpawnSmall extensions of TITAN. Ground-type, fast, Armored on Extreme difficulty. Appear in every match of Chapter 4 as the baseline threat.
standardGueiStandard ground unit with moderate HP. No modifiers on lower difficulties, a pure HP check in large groups.
standardBalthizardShield LVL1 always active. Slow movement but high survivability. Stacking these behind faster units makes them difficult to clear before they reach the exit.
standardMizzleAnti-Magic on Hard and above. Fast movement. Forces players off magic-damage-heavy loadouts in the late matches.
standardBiblioxAnti-Slow on Hard and above. Very fast base movement, one of the quickest standard units in Chapter 4. Groups of three or more require AoE burst damage to manage effectively.
standardWingladeAir-type unit that bypasses all ground-placed towers entirely. Requires dedicated air-attack units or tower upgrades with air range to counter.
standardOrganikkRegenerates HP at 1.5% per second. Requires sustained damage rather than burst. Pairs dangerously with Balthizard in the same wave.
standardWicabelAnti-Magic on Extreme difficulty. Moderate HP, average speed. Becomes significantly harder on top difficulties when magic-damage units form the backbone of a loadout.
standardCarol HolidayFast, fragile, and numerous. Appears only in specific Boss Match waves, designed to distract fire from harder targets. Prioritize Guei and Balthizard over Carol Holidays.
standardGerson BoomSlow movement with an AoE death effect: on death, releases a shockwave that briefly stuns nearby towers. Intentional enemy placement can chain multiple stuns in sequence.
eliteSound Of JusticeEmits a permanent 25% damage reduction aura extending to all adjacent enemies. Eliminating Sound Of Justice removes the aura for the rest of the wave, making it a high priority target.
eliteJackensteinA patchwork giant with two HP bars. The first bar must be fully depleted before Jackenstein reveals a second, stronger form beneath. Each phase has a different resistance type.
bossRoaring KnightThe Roaring Knight returns as Chapter 4's main boss. Faster than previous appearances, with a ground-slam AoE that damages units near the exit point. Four HP phases, each of which removes a previous weakness.
bossTITANThe colossus that has been waiting above. 15,000,000 HP. Slow, but its footsteps deal AoE damage to units within three tiles. Summons Titan Spawns continuously throughout the fight. Requires maximum sustained DPS output.
bossMiss MizzleTITAN's herald. Faster than TITAN and appears first, clearing the path. Anti-Magic, high HP, and applies a Magic Resistance debuff to all towers she passes through.
secretHammer Of JusticeA weapon given form. Bypasses all lane pathing, appearing anywhere on the map and charging directly at the exit. Flat 60% damage reduction from all sources; only specific pierce abilities bypass it.
SECRET BOSSHammer Of JusticeMaterializes without warning on a random tile and charges straight for the exit. Flat 60% damage reduction from all sources, and only specific pierce abilities bypass it. Considered the hardest secret boss in DRTD due to its unpredictable spawn location.
